We want to help our customers and know dealing with an insurance company can be a pain! So let us worry about it for you. We will tell you up front what part of treatment your insurance plan will pay for, what it won’t, and what options you have for covering any remaining balance.

Insurance FAQs

This is a treatment recommended by your dentist that is listed on the fee schedule and accepted under your group plan’s terms.

Optional treatment is either treatment that isn’t listed on your fee schedule or that requires more treatments than the minimum to fully restore the tooth back to function.

What is the difference between indemnity, PPO, HMO, and discount insurance plans?

Indemnity or traditional insurance reimburse members or dentists at the Usual, Customary, and Reasonable (UCR) fee. This allows a subscriber to go to any dental office without being limited to those on a panel.

This is the most common form of insurance. It stands for Preferred Provider Organization. They provide members with a list of dentists to choose from. These dentists have agreed to a lower fee schedule which provides the patient with greater cost savings. They also assist with insurance billing. Most companies pay 50% on major treatment (crowns, bridges, partials), 80% for basic care (fillings), and up to 100% for preventative care (exams, x-rays, basic cleanings). Annual maximums generally range from $1,000 to $2,000. Of course, your individual plan may vary.
